  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in business, economics, administration or other specialty relevant to the position.

Experience

Experience in project or program planning and management.

Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement.

Other Merit Criteria and Conditions of Employment

  • Asset Qualifications:
    Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
    Knowledge of the agriculture sector.
    Adaptability: Adapting in order to work effectively in ambiguous or changing situations, and with diverse individuals and groups.
    Business Perspective: Using an understanding of business issues, processes and outcomes to enhance business performance.
    Client Focus: Providing service excellence to internal and / or external clients.
    Creativity and Innovation: Generating viable, new approaches and solutions.

    N.B.: Interested persons must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position.
    However, a person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, organizational needs, and operational requirements. However, meeting
    these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.

Challenge

Providing support to Senior Managers in developing and managing PFRA’s annual work planning process.

Coordinating planning activities between PFRA work units and with AAFC departmental business planning processes.

Providing support with project planning and management tools and processes.

Supporting the development, monitoring and reporting of performance indicators.

  • The pool established from this process may be used to staff similar positions on a term or indeterminate basis.
