Education

Useful Information

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in industrial or labour relations, law or other field related to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience

Experience in researching in a field such as law, labour relations, industrial relations or another related field.

Experience in analyzing and interpreting statutory documents, regulations, related policies, guidelines or procedures.

Experience in writing reports and preparing recommendations for senior management.

Other Merit Criteria and Conditions of Employment

  • OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
    Travel in Canada is required on occasion.
  • CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Reliability status. This factor is not used at the preselection stage. The Department is responsible for the security clearance process.

  • Candidates from outside the federal Public Service may be required to pay for their own relocation expenses.
