- How much do you know about investing?
One of the objectives of investor education at the Commission is to encourage youth to
become involved in their financial affairs, specifically saving and investing. By
providing information to you, we hope that you will be in a better position to make
informed decisions about your financial future.
We figure that there are several advantages to being young when it comes to savings and
investing. The one major advantage that you have that others don't is TIME! You
have time to learn about saving and investing, time to talk to your parents and experts
and most importantly, you have time to ensure that you can achieve both long and short
term goals such as saving for a bike, for world travel, furthering your education or
investing to purchase a car, a home or plan for a comfortable retirement.
Remember, you are young and time is on your side!
