Visiting the Archives

The Archives of Manitoba is dedicated to making our records available and accessible to clients locally, nationally and internationally. Whether you are tracing your family tree, working on a school project, looking for a map or photograph or doing in-depth historical research, we'll do our best to help you find what you need. The Archives of Manitoba is located at 200 Vaughan Street, in downtown Winnipeg. Street and pay parking is available in the vicinity.

The Archives Research Room is located on the first floor and is open to clients during regular office hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding statutory holidays. Please be sure to confirm that the research room is open before visiting the Archives of Manitoba.

To ensure your visit is a success, we advise planning it carefully. Archives staff will conduct limited general research or help you prepare for a research visit.
