Survey Services Branch

Survey Services Branch manages and delivers three survey programs: the Land Survey System, Spatial Reference System and Survey Services programs. The branch has a central office in Winnipeg and regional offices in Brandon, and Dauphin.

Survey Services Branch administers and enforces The Surveys Act (Part II) and Regulations made thereunder, approve plans of survey of provincial Crown lands as required by The Crown Lands Act (Section 9) and The Mineral Disposition and Mineral Lease Regulation (Parts 5 and 6) under The Mines and Mineral Act. The branch represents Manitoba on matters regarding the delimitation of boundaries of the province, provides survey services to provincial government departments, maintains the provincial Land Survey System, and establishes and maintains the Manitoba Spatial Reference System.
