The Medical Licensure Program
for International Medical Graduates (MLPIMG)

The Medical Licensure Program for International Medical Graduates (MLPIMG) will assist foreign trained physicians to obtain medical licensure to practise as primary care physicians in Manitoba.

IMPORTANT DATES 2006

March 31 IMG application deadline
Mid May IMGs will be advised of acceptance for CAPE
Mid June CAPE Preparation Course
September 7, 8, 9 CAPE (3-day assessment)
Mid October CAPE results sent to IMG Program Director
November IMGs will be advised of CAPE results and next steps
December Eligible IMGs to begin practice on Conditional Register (if no enhanced training is required)
January 2007 Eligible IMGs to begin enhanced training, if required (medical practice to begin upon satisfactory completion of enhanced training.
