The Premier of Manitoba invites you to nominate
deserving adult learners In July 2004 Canada’s Premiers decided to create a special annual award to recognize achievements in literacy across the country. The Council of the Federation (COF) Literacy Award acknowledges outstanding achievement, innovative practice and excellence in literacy. Each year 13 COF Literacy Medallions and award certificates will be handed out, one in each province and territory. The COF Literacy Award for Manitoba recognizes achievement in adult
literacy.

Employees of the Government of Manitoba and individual members of the selection committee and their families are not eligible for the Council of the Federation Literacy Award (Manitoba). 2006 nomination package
An independent selection committee in each province and territory reviews the nominations and selects the award recipient for that province or territory. The selected award winner will be notified before the July 2006 announcement.
The award consists of a medallion and certificate. The award will be presented to the Manitoba COF Literacy Award recipient in the Fall 2006. This page was last updated September 25, 2006
