- Alberta Funeral Services Regulatory Board Governance Review Discussion

The purpose of this discussion paper was to gather Albertans' opinions on the
following:
- clear definitions for specific categories of funeral businesses
- structure of the Funeral Board and how its members are selected
- staffing structures
- complaint resolution and disciplinary processes used by the Funeral
Board
- fee structure
- Real Estate Act Review - Discussion

The Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) is reviewing the
Real Estate Act
and is seeking public input.
Amendments to the Act would update and modernize the legislation and
strengthen RECA's statutory authority to address the growing problem of
mortgage fraud. Those interested should review the
discussion paper and e-mail their comments to RECA by May 11, 2006, at
communications@reca.ca. Written
