External Funding Review

Introduction

As a follow-up to the Manitoba Special Education Review recommendations related to special needs funding and the implementation of the Appropriate Educational Programming Legislation, Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth is hosting an external review regarding the application and review process for Level II and III Special Needs Funding.

The purpose of the review is to develop recommendations regarding the application process for Level II and III funding.

The review will not address issues related to the funding of schools or levels of funding.

Consultation Sessions

Three consultation sessions will be held to receive feedback on the proposals to revise the Level II and III application process. Invitations to participate in the consultations have been sent to our Educational Stakeholder groups, parents and student services administrators. The sessions will be held at the end of the month of November.
