McGifford and Bjornson Announce Major Initiative to Improve Technical-Vocational Education.

The Technical Vocational Initiative (TVI), is a three-year, $4.5 million project jointly sponsored by Manitoba Advanced Education and Training and Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth. Its purpose is to revitalize Technical Vocational Education (TVE) in Manitoba. TVE is an important part of the educational structure and plays a major role in developing a flexible and well-educated work force to address current and emerging industry and labour-market needs. The Initiative works with education partners, business, industry and labour to develop and recommend strategies that address the six “Action Pillars” that form the core of its mandate.
