Some people think that heroes are hard to find. Yet, throughout the history of Canada, ordinary Canadians of all ages, from all walks of life, have done extraordinary things to protect the rights and freedoms of others. In doing so, they become heroes.
These people did not set out to be heroes. Yet, it is thanks to their courage, determination and sacrifice, that we live in a peaceful, democratic country.
