In August, Canadians will commemorate another important milestone in Canadian military history - the 60th Anniversary of Victory in the Far East, as part of the Year of the Veteran.

Events commemorating the End of the Second World War in the Far East will take place across Canada, and offer Veterans of Hong Kong, Burma, the HMCS Uganda, and other Far East theatres a chance to reunite at celebrations in their honour. It will also give Canadians an opportunity to learn from and thank Canada’s Far East Veterans.
