Selected New Titles is published monthly to alert Manitoba government personnel to recent books and government documents acquired by the Library.

New current issue

The most recent Selected New Titles are now part of the Information Portal under the tab of the same name. While browsing the latest Selected New Titles, you can place requests and holds, check what items are signed out to you, and renew items that you wish to have longer than the standard loan period - all from your desktop.

Subscription information

Subscriptions to Selected New Titles are available to Manitoba government personnel. Subscribers are notified by e-mail each time a new list is posted on this site. To subscribe send an e-mail to Legislative_Library@gov.mb.ca.

How to request titles listed on the Selected New Titles:

Go to the Information Portal and click on My Account tab to register.

If you have a library card, you can easily proceed. If you need more information or wish to obtain a library card, read our registration instructions.

Once you are registered, click on the Selected New Titles tab in the portal.

Browse the Selected New Titles which is organized by subject as usual.

When you see an item you want to borrow, click on the icon Request Item next to the Call Number for each book.

If the item you want appears in more than one edition, e.g. an annual report, use the icon Request Item next to each year or edition wanted. That way staff will know which edition you want.

If you want materials mailed out to you by Interdepartmental Mail, you may include that in the comment line.

Look at My Account to see all the items you have requested.
