Land Use and Development

COMMUNITY PLANNING SERVICES 

The Community Planning Services Branch has staff located in 9 regional offices throughout the Province to provide land use planning and consultation services to municipalities and planning districts outside Winnipeg and to northern communities.

Professional planning advisory assistance is provided on a project cost-recovery basis. The assistance that staff can provide includes:

  • the preparation of special studies and planning and design projects;
  • background studies;
  • development plans and zoning by-laws and amendments;
  • making recommendations and expediting development applications; and
  • providing support to planning appeal boards.
