Welcome to the Greetings Branch for the Province of Manitoba!  Manitobans celebrating a significant anniversary or birthday can request congratulatory messages from FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL (MANITOBA) DIGNITARIES through the services of the Province of Manitoba Greetings Branch.  The messages fall into the following three categories:  Wedding Anniversary, Birthday and Special Messages.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY or BIRTHDAY MESSAGES

Manitobans celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary (and at five year intervals thereafter) or a 75th birthday (and at five year intervals thereafter) can obtain messages by completing the Congratulatory Message Form.  Please fill out the form carefully to be sure there are no mistakes in your messages when they arrive.

Please notify us six to eight weeks before the celebrations to ensure you receive the messages on time.

MESSAGES FROM THE QUEEN

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II sends a message to Manitobans who are 100 years of age or older and couples who are celebrating their 60th or higher wedding anniversary.  Her Majesty’s message is issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General.  You can use the Anniversary and Birthday Message Form to request a message from The Queen.  Please fill in the on-line form and telephone (204-945-1657) or fax (204-948-3772) proof of age or length of marriage (a photocopy of a birth certificate or the Old Age Security Number (O.A.S.) for age of the celebrant(s); a photocopy of the marriage certificate for weddings is required).  Please notify us 10 weeks prior to the event in order to insure the message will arrive on time.

Please note the message from The Queen is mailed two weeks prior to the event.  The Queen sends her message for the actual date, not the celebration date.

  • Homesteads that have been in Canada 100 years or longer.
