Flood Report for Pembina River

April 07, 2006.

A flood sheet for the Pembina River is attached.

Flooding has developed between Rock Lake and Swan Lake and will spread to the portion from Swan Lake to Windygates next week.

The first crest at Windygates occurred near midnight last night. A second somewhat higher crest is expected April 13-14.

There is a potential for significant overflows into Manitoba from Neche to Gretna based on the National Weather Service forecast peak stage at Neche. A minor closure of the dike at Gretna may be necessary this weekend.
