Aboriginal Education Action Plan
Aboriginal Identity Field (AIF)
The Aboriginal Identitiy Field (AIF) collects information about the ancestral/cultural background of Aboriginal students. The purpose of this information is to assist schools, school divisions and the Department of Education, Citizenship and Youth (ECY) plan programs to improve student success.
Aboriginal Perspectives
Aboriginal perspectives apply to learning experiences for
all students. Each subject area will address the perspectives
and accomplishments of Aboriginal people
Aboriginal Languages in Manitoba
Consultation Reports to assist in planning for the development
of a provincial curriculum in Aboriginal Languages.
Native Studies
The study of Aboriginal people focuses on an understanding
of Aboriginal philosophies and creates an awareness of issues
and events that relate to Aboriginal history.
Aboriginal Education Directorate
The Directorate coordinates the Aboriginal Education and
Training Framework and provides leadership for departmental
initiatives in Aboriginal Education, Training and Advanced
Education.
WNCP Aboriginal Languages and Cultures
WNCP Common Curriculum Framework for Aboriginal Languages
and Culture programs provides a framework for further development
in Aboriginal languages and culture programs.
