Manitoba Justice is working to make the entire justice
system more responsive to the wishes and needs of victims. We have developed
new
legislation to further protect the rights of victims in Manitoba. Moreover, we believe
that we have a special responsibility to treat child victims of crime with sensitivity and
compassion because they are the most vulnerable participants in the system. As a result,
we are implementing a new
child victim support
initiative.
