Labour
Management Services Division is a central body providing a wide
range of support services
for the Department of Labour and
Immigration, including research, analysis, legislative,
administrative,
financial, information technology, and other
services. The Division performs these functions through
three
Branches:
The Financial
and Administrative Services Branch, which provides:

Financial reporting and comptrollership services.
·
Administration over such areas as office space,
equipment, telecommunications and records
management.
The Information Technology
Services Branch, which provides:
·
Direction and assistance regarding technology and
information management.
·
IT support for program delivery.
·
Custodianship over data and information.
The Research,
Legislation and Policy Branch, which provides:
·
Research, analysis and other services in support of
the Department’s legislative and policy
initiatives.
·
Information and data on
labour-related matters for workers, employers
and the public.
·
Support to
external advisory boards and
committees
at the
provincial, national and international
level.
