Welcome to the Capital Region GIS
The Capital Region GIS is an on-line mapping utility which enables users who may not be familiar with Geographic Information Systems,
(GIS), to view and interact with various sets of data collected
by the Province of Manitoba. This data may be useful to municipal governments making planning and policy decisions, students,
researchers, or any other individuals interested in analyzing information on the geographic attributes of the Capital Region.
This web page is intended as a public resource of general information. The Department of Intergovernmental Affairs
collected only portions of the data presented, and has not screened the data for accuracy. Information is provided on data
sources (See Layer Information/Metadata) so that users may assess
the data accuracy individually.
To begin using the Capital Region GIS, read the Distribution Liability Statement below and click on
the "I Agree" button. For more information on GIS and the data sources used in this program, follow the links in the left-hand column.
