The Neighbourhoods of Parkwood

The Neighbourhoods of Parkwood This spring, veterans and their families celebrated the opening of the newly redesigned Dementia Care Unit in the Western Counties Wing at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario. The facility offers a home-like environment to veterans who need specialized care. As part of the new design, halls have been transformed into "neighbourhood streets." A new dining room means meals can be served restaurant style. A new lounge and solarium offer the perfect space for quiet thoughts or get-togethers. Veterans also have greater access to the outdoor gardens. Veterans Affairs Canada funded the redesigned facility that was built in collaboration with St. Joseph's Health Care London.
