Veterans Affairs Canada - Youth

Calling all Cyber-Artists
Welcome to the Veterans Affairs Canada Web Page Design Contest, one of the many activities for students during Veterans' Week 1998. Students from across Canada are invited to submit designs to be considered for use in the Veterans Affairs Canada web site. Submissions will be accepted from November 1, 1998 until December 31, 1998. In January 1998, we will be reviewing all submissions and announcing the winners.
Will the winning design be yours?

Theme
Designs submitted for consideration should, in words and pictures:

  • Pay tribute to the sacrifice and achievements of veterans of the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War and peacekeeping missions;
  • Illustrate how the actions of these men and women contributed to the lifestyles we enjoy today and the country that we live in; and
  • Indicate the importance of remembrance and commemoration.

You may use original text, attributed quotes, photographs or original drawings.

Remember: This is not an essay contest. The more visually compelling and interesting the page design, the better.
