Primary wood-using industries in Manitoba were surveyed by telephone and personal interviews in 2000-2001. This directory gives a summary for each operation.

Information is provided on mill production, products, wood supply, species utilized, employment generated, and markets. Sawmills, wood treating plants, log home builders and the pulp, paper, newsprint, oriented strandboard, fibreboard, and particle board mills are grouped by industry type and size of operation.

The secondary wood-using industry in Manitoba was surveyed in 2001 by telephone and/or personal interviews with each firm.

This directory provides information about each firm (location, telephone number, fax number, executive officer, number of people employed, raw materials used in the manufacturing process, and a priority products listing).

Information can be accessed by company name or via the products and services. Information on related organizations and associations is also provided.
