Manitoba Conservation

Forestry Branch

Manitoba Conservation provides the opportunity to harvest timber from Provincial Crown Land by allocating timber harvesting rights. Conservation allocates the majority of the timber harvest by the means of Forest Management Licence (FML) Agreements, Timber Sale Agreements and Timber Permits. In addition, Conservation has a history of offering public Timber Sale Auctions.

Manitoba Conservation is building on the success of the Timber Sale Auction process by making a transition to quarterly auctions. While Conservation will make every effort to implement quarterly auctions, there may be unique circumstances that require Conservation to either postpone auctions or add special auctions.

Information on all auctions will be available from the following sources:

  • this web page
  • the local Natural Resource office
  • the regional Forestry office

Results of the auctions can be obtained in the following ways:

  • from this web page within 7 days of the auction closing date
  • by contacting the Manitoba Forestry Branch head office in Winnipeg at 945-7862.
