The Mineral Resources Library is your gateway to information on Manitoba's geology, mineral and petroleum resources and industries. Whether you are looking for reports, maps, journal articles or video/audio cassette recordings dealing with these topics, we can help. We have an extensive collection and a world of information at our fingertips via in-house or on-line databases.

  • Library holdings: 30,000 volumes
     
  • Public access catalogue of library titles: includes approximately 10,000 searchable titles from 1990 to present and card catalogue prior to 1990
     
  • GEOREF: searchable database of references and selected abstracts to the world's literature in geology. Over 1.5 million records since 1785. Prepared by the American Geological Institute
     
  • Bibliography of Manitoba Geology: compiled by Manitoba Industry, Economic Development and Mines, this searchable database is a comprehensive bibliography with 11,000 references on the geology of Manitoba
     
  • Newsclippings database: providing access to current mineral and petroleum industry related news items
     
  • Canadian MineSCAN: searchable database of mining and exploration companies operating in Canada and the United States
