INTRODUCTION
An essential component to delivering citizen centered service is the ongoing measurement of citizen satisfaction. Increasingly, departments value citizen feedback as a means to measure their progress toward higher levels of quality and performance in service delivery.
Additionally, government departments and agencies have recognized the value of holding public consultations to inform policy, programs and government direction.
The Citizen Feedback & Public Consultation section contains examples of how some departments have used satisfaction measurement tools to identify service gaps and find meaningful opportunities to improve service delivery. Also included in this section is information on current efforts to provide support to staff who are, or may become, involved in a public consultation.
