can take you around the world and back again, not to mention leave you with
memories and skills that will last a lifetime. The entire 4-H year is a
blend of non-competitive and well-rounded competitive experiences.
Clubs often plan fun outings or activities
like bonspiels, bowling nights or parties for all members to take part in
and enjoy. Other activities include member conferences and workshops that
give 4-H'ers a chance to meet with other members. They have the chance to
travel provincially, nationally and internationally. 4-H even has an active
exchange program with Japan! About 4000 4-H members have fun with friends at
meetings, social activities, tours, camps and fairs.
4-H gives members a chance to speak up.
At annual communication events members at all levels have the
opportunity to make speeches or
visual presentations on a topic of their choice. It's a fun way to practice
speaking and interacting with others. Members compete at various levels to
advance to the Provincial Communications Extravaganza. |
