Quality, Cost-Effective Training

The Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) is committed to providing high quality, cost-effective emergency management training throughout the province.

Our Instructors

Our instructors are experienced emergency management professionals drawn from government and the private sector, and are selected for their subject matter expertise and teaching abilities.

Custom-Designed Courses

In addition to the courses listed in this guide, training can be customized to your needs. If you have a requirement for a specific course(s) please contact EMO staff in your area to discuss your needs.

Important Course Information

Prerequisites Courses do not require prerequisites except where noted in the course descriptions.
Costs Except as noted in this guide, all EMO courses are no charge to the participant. Travel, accommodation and meal expenses are the responsibility of the participant or their sponsor.
Special Needs If you have special needs (e.g., wheelchair access) please let us know.
Cancellation Policy EMO reserves the right to cancel a course or change dates due to circumstances such as insufficient enrollment or a provincial emergency.

Canadian Emergency Preparedness College

As part of its responsibility to foster enhanced critical infrastructure protection and emergency preparedness in Canada, the federal Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Preparedness (OCIPEP) delivers a training and education program through the Canadian Emergency Preparedness College (CEPC) in Ottawa, Ontario.

The following courses offered by CEPC focus on the management of a multi-service/agency response to an emergency. Other aspects of emergency planning and management are also addressed in other courses, seminars and workshops.
