The Honourable Dr. Rey D. Pagtakhan, P.C., M.P. and James L. DavisAs a loyal member of The Royal Canadian Legion and Past President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Command, Mr. Davis has devoted almost his entire adult life to matters relating to the organization. He has worked tirelessly to advance the interests of Veterans in the community. Mr. Davis has worked for the past 30 years for the Air Cadet League of Canada, within which he has held several senior positions. A longstanding volunteer within many community organizations, Mr. Davis has worked diligently with school children to ensure that the sacrifices of Veterans are never forgotten. Mr. Davis has played a key role in coordinating and facilitating Remembrance activities, both at home and abroad. He has participated in numerous commemorative ceremonies and pilgrimages overseas. Mr. Davis developed the Royal Canadian Legion's Newfoundland and Labrador Command website as a tribute to the province's Veterans and those who fought during the First World War's devastating Battle of Beaumont-Hamel.
