Preliminary Determination respecting certain copper pipe fittings
On October 20, 2006 the President of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping concerning certain solder joint pressure pipe fittings and solder joint drainage, waste and vent pipe fittings, made of cast copper alloy, wrought copper alloy or wrought copper, for use in heating, plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration applications (certain copper pipe fittings) originating in or exported from the United States of America, the Republic of Korea and the People's Republic of China and also made a preliminary determination of subsidizing concerning certain copper pipe fittings originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China, pursuant to subsection 38(1) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA). Provisional duty will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after October 20, 2006.
