Veterans Affairs Canada: Proudly Serving Canada's Veteran Community

Between Friends

by the Honourable Dr. Rey D. Pagtakhan
Minister of Veterans Affairs

Between Friends Over the past few months, Veterans Affairs Canada has been privileged to take on a more active role in providing benefits and services to discharged and serving RCMP members who have a disability due to a work-related illness or injury. This means our Department will now be communicating more often, and more directly, with you and your family.

Our experience in helping veterans and still-serving Canadian Forces members means that we understand many of the special, and often unique, needs of those who serve our country at home and abroad. It also means we have the people and resources in place to provide you with support, when and if you need it.

In this issue of Salute!, we'd like to welcome you to our client family and share with you some information that will help you to better understand what we do and how we can help you.

For more information, or support, please get in touch with any of our District or Regional Offices; just look in the Government (or blue) pages of your local telephone book under Veterans. You may also e-mail us at information@vac-acc.gc.ca.
