CF Veteran Honoured

Those who suffer from military trauma can take inspiration from Joseph H. Haywood. Mr. Haywood is a 17-year veteran of the Canadian Forces who served on several peacekeeping missions and has suffered the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Recently, Mr. Haywood received the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation in recognition of his tireless efforts to educate Canadians on PTSD and the impact it has on veterans and CF members.

Mr. Haywood is the co-founder of Addictions Recovery Inc. and, since the early 1970s, has been reaching out to veterans who suffer from military trauma.

For more information on the Commendation Award and previous recipients, please visit our Web site at www.vac-acc.gc.ca.
