RCMP Studies Members' Needs

RCMP officers on parade

In April 2005, the RCMP set up a dedicated project team to learn how to best support its serving and retired RCMP members, their families, and survivors. As a key part of this project, serving and retired RCMP disability pensioners were invited in August to take part in a confidential on-line survey.

Senior officials with the RCMP, Staff Relations Representatives (SRRs), and the RCMP Veterans Association say the feedback will help to identify the real needs of the RCMP community and make well-informed decisions to address these needs. Questions or concerns about the project can be addressed to a RCMP SRR or the RCMP Veterans Association.

A final report to RCMP senior officials on findings and options for the future is targeted for January 2006. As this process moves forward, the benefits that our Department manages on behalf of the RCMP will remain in place.
