Pack Up and Go!

(virtual and paper-based activity)

This game introduces students to the push and pull factors that have prompted immigrants to leave their country of origin and choose Canada as their new home. Students match time periods to the appropriate push and pull factors. They place the arrival of their own ancestors into a time period and compare their ancestors' experiences with that of others in the same time period. Once the online chart is completed, students can print it out to see their ancestors' place in time.
