Information on our programs and services

  • Alternative reporting methods for travellers
Many travellers can now use an alternative reporting method to meet their customs and immigration obligations, without having direct contact with an officer.

Travellers can join domestic programs such as CANPASS or bilateral programs such as NEXUS.

Telephone reporting is available to general aviation aircraft and recreational boaters entering Canada.

  • Commercial Driver Registration
If you are a commercial driver and are interested in simplifying your border crossings into Canada, the Commercial Driver Registration Program (CDRP) may be for you.

  • Postal Program
The Postal Program deals with all customs-related matters in terms of the clearance of international mail -- both casual and commercial shipments -- coming into Canada.

  • BIS - Border Information Service
The Border Information Service (BIS) is a computerized, 24-hour telephone service that automatically answers all incoming calls and provides general border services information.

  • Our Missing Children
At the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), one of our most successful programs is Our Missing Children. This joint initiative involves the CBSA, the RCMP, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

The goal is to help locate abducted or missing children and return them to their proper guardians.

  • Convention Services Program
The Convention Services Program has everything you need to know about bringing your convention, meeting, trade show, or exhibit to Canada including information for exhibitors and attendees.
