SIMA Site Map

Investigations
Here you will find a listing of investigations both ongoing and completed, since 1993. The CBSA provides reasons for the major decisions in the administration of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA). The reasons are posted here within 15 days of the decision. Each case is accompanied by a Listing of Exhibits and a Listing of Cousel. These listings are updated on an ongoing basis throughout the investigation.
Re-investigations
SIMA duties are generally imposed for a period of at least five years. During this period, an administrative review can be conducted on a case to either update the normal values and the exports prices or determine specific amounts of subsidy on the goods. A Customs Notice is published at the time of initiation and at the time an administrative review is concluded. Each case is accompanied by a Listing of Exhibits and a Listing of Counsel. These listings are updated on an ongoing basis throughout the re-investigation. To refer to the most recent Customs Notice for a specific case, use the link within the "Customs Notice" column of the SIMA Monthly Index.
Expiry Reviews
Schedules and decisions for investigations are generally available for on-line reading on the day the decision is made. The statements of reasons are posted here within 15 days of the decision. Each case is accompanied by a Listing of Exhibits and a Listing of Counsel. These listings are updated on an ongoing basis throughout the review.
