Are You a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) and Facing Unfair Competition?
A small or medium-sized enterprise is a firm with less than 500 employees
If you answer yes to each one of the following questions, the Special Import Measures Act could be a solution to your problems:
-
Are you a Canadian manufacturer or producer?
-
Are you facing competition from imported goods?
-
Do the imported goods have an effect on the price of your goods, i.e., are they undercutting the price of your goods or causing you to lower your prices?
-
Do the foreign exporters sell their goods to importers in Canada at prices lower than they sell to customers in their domestic market or are the foreign exporters benefiting from subsidy programs offered by their government?
