DECISION

Certain Cigarette Tubes

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has concluded a review of the undertakings with respect to filter tipped cigarette tubes, excluding those which bear the trademark or brand name of a finished or ready-made cigarette, originating in or exported from France.

The purpose of this review was to determine whether the undertakings continued to serve the purpose for which they were intended.

The CBSA concluded that there is a strong likelihood of the continuation or resumption of dumping should the undertakings be allowed to expire and that such a continuation or resumption of dumping would likely cause material injury to Canadian production of like goods. Accordingly, the President has concluded that the undertakings continue to serve its intended purpose and, on this date, the undertakings are being renewed for a further period of five years, that is, until April 7, 2009.

Should you have any questions regarding this undertaking review, please contact the officer listed below.
