Farmland School Tax Rebate

Printer Friendly

If you own farmland in Manitoba, you may be eligible for a rebate on the farmland portion of your 2004, 2005 and 2006 school taxes.

A rebate of 33% was introduced in 2004, with an increase to 50% in 2005, and for 2006 the rebate has risen to 60%

Your farmland does not currently have to be in cultivation or used for grazing in order to be eligible for the rebate. The rebate applies to the farmland portion of your school taxes and does not apply to residences or other buildings on your farmland.

If you require further information, please view the questions and answers document links below, or contact the Program Coordinator at FSTR@masc.mb.ca, or (204) 726-7068.

 2006 Farmland School Tax Rebate

Once you have paid your 2006 property taxes, you may be eligible for a 60% rebate on the farmland portion of your 2006 school taxes.

If you received the rebate in 2005, an application form for the 2006 rebate will be mailed directly to you.

To apply, download an application form or apply directly at your local Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation - Insurance office.
