Retail Stores and Territorial Agents

The Retail Stores and Territorial Agents operate 6 retail liquor stores and provide Territorial Agent services in the five rural communities with a liquor store.

The retail liquor stores in the rural communities sell products to individual customers as well as to licensees. They also issue special occasion and reception permits. The Whitehorse Liquor store sells only to individual customers. In their capacity as representatives of the Yukon Government, rural store employees provide public access to government services at community liquor stores for services such as driver licences, fishing licences, motor vehicle registrations, property taxes, business licences and court fines.
