QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking an individual who has post-secondary education in Office Administration or several years experience as an Administrative Assistant. Experience in a legal setting would be considered an asset. A minimum typing speed of 55 w.p.m. and proficiency in MS Word and/or WordPerfect are required. You are able to work independently under minimal supervision. You can effectively organize and prioritize your work in order to meet strict deadlines with an ability to work in a team environment. You respect confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in carrying out your duties. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), are detail-oriented and have an aptitude for accuracy. You must be able to work in both French and English. The successful candidate will be subject to Security Checks including a Criminal Records Check. Your cover letter and resumé must clearly indicate how you meet the qualifications.

DUTIES:
You will function as a member of the support team by providing a full range of administrative support to a team of lawyers and translators. Duties include the typing, editing and proofreading of draft legislation, regulations, memoranda and correspondence in both official languages, as well as updating changes in provincial laws in both the electronic and paper versions. You will also be responsible for greeting clients and answering telephone inquiries. There may be a requirement to work overtime.
