Am I eligible?
All Manitoba residents who have had a mastectomy are
eligible.
What is covered?
Manitoba Health will provide reimbursement to a
maximum of $153.50 per prosthesis. The program also provides an
allowance of up to $12.30 per surgical brassiere.
How many claims may I make?
Persons who have had a single mastectomy may claim 2
prostheses every 4 years and 2 surgical brassieres every year.
Persons who have had a double mastectomy may claim 4 prostheses every
4 years and 2 surgical brassieres every year. Benefits are
calculated according to the initial claim received at Manitoba Health.
Is there a deductible?
No deductible is required.

How do I submit my claim?
When you pay for your prosthesis or surgical bra,
obtain a receipt from the supplier. Please send the itemized receipt
