National Safety Code Standard 10 Cargo Securement,
Driver's Handbook for Cargo Securement,
Canadian Council of Motor Transport
Administrators (CCMTA) Manitoba has adopted the National Safety
Code Standard 10 Cargo Securement as approved by the Council of Ministers
responsible for Transportation and Highway Safety, Sept. 23, 2004.
Cargo carried by a vehicle with a registered gross weight of 4500 kg (10,000 lb.)
or more, must be secured in
accordance with the provisions of this standard when the vehicle is operated on
a highway. Note: In the event of a
discrepancy between the Handbook and the Standard, the Standard will prevail.

Compliance Policy Guide, Guidance for FDA and CBP Staff, Prior Notice of
Imported Food Under the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and
Response Act of 2002 The FDA Compliance Policy Guide indicates that full enforcement of the
interim final rule for prior notice of all food and feed products is scheduled
to begin August 13, 2004. According to the Compliance Policy Guide, the FDA is currently able to refuse
shipments or issue fines for lack of any prior notice and as of August 13, 2004,
the FDA is expected to refuse shipments or issue fines for incomplete or
untimely prior notification. December 15, 2003 – Notice To All Producers, Shippers, Manufacturers,
Brokers and Carriers of Agricultural and Food Articles – US-FDA Final Interim
Rules On Registration And Prior Notice
Effective December 12, 2003 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA)
has new requirements for any foreign food items entering the U.S. Please see the

notice.
