On the Move Workshop Dates Announced
On the Move is CAAWS' national initiative to increase opportunities for inactive girls and young women (ages 9-18) to participate in sport and physical activity. On the Move Workshops are half-day, interactive, issue-based sessions that provide an overview of the initiative, share best practices from across Canada, and provide "how-to" tips to increase the participation of girls and young women. - February 18, 2010 ....More

In 2005, 5-year-old to 10-year-old girls played organized sports at about the same rate as in 1992. However, 11-year-old to 14-year-old girls were less likely to play sports than they did in 1992.
