Pigiarniq Font
The Government of Nunavut is making available for download the newly developed "Pigiarniq" font. Pigiarniq is the first of a new generation of Inuktitut fonts that will become the basis of Inuktitut on computer systems.
The font is available in 4 weights and 2 styles. The Italic version is still in testing, but is made available for publishing purposes. The final release will be made available when possible.
Once you have Downloaded your font to a folder of your choice, you can then open up your 'Control Panel' in 'My Computer' or from 'Start'button, 'Settings', 'Control Panel'.
Once 'Control Panel' is open, then goto to the 'Fonts' folder and once that is open, goto to 'File', select 'Install New Font'.
A new window opens, and you then must find the font that you have just downloaded from the selection above. Once it is installed, you can then view the Inuktitut pages and News releases.
If you downloaded the zip file, you will need the winzip program to unzip the file that contains all the pigiarniq font weights.
