PSEPC's National Crime Prevention Centre (NCPC) is responsible for implementing the National Crime Prevention Strategy. Our work is based on the principle that the surest way to reduce crime is to focus on the factors that put individuals at risk -- factors like family violence, school problems and drug abuse. We aim to reduce crime and victimization by tackling crime before it happens.

We work in close collaboration with partners in the provinces and territories to build programs that are specific and appropriate to regions and communities. We provide communities with tools, knowledge and support to deal with the root causes of crime at a local level.
