Office of the Commissioner of the Northwest Territories

Welcome to my website. It has been a great honour to serve as the Commissioner of the Northwest Territories since April of 2005.

Having served the public in many other capacities, I have gained an extensive knowledge of the people, cultures, economy and politics of the north. I hope to put that knowledge to good use in this role.

It is my hope as Commissioner to travel extensively throughout the north, to visit each community and to attend as many cultural and social events as possible. Getting out among the people is a crucial role of the Commissioner of the NWT.

In the past, I have had the privilege to be involved with the Office of the Commissioner through its changing roles and place in history. It is my hope that in my term in this position, I can continue to steer the office through this proud tradition. Each of my predecessors has put her or his mark on the office and I hope to follow their examples.
