Driving instructors in the Province of Nova Scotia are required to be licensed by Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations under the Driver Training School Regulations. The Verification of Licensed Driving Instructor online service may be used in order to verify that a driving instructor has an active licence. There are three search options available in order to find a driving instructor and to see the status of their licence:

• Search Option 1 -- search by instructor's last name and first name.
• Search Option 2 -- search by instructor's last name and city/town of residence.
• Search Option 3 -- search by instructor's Driving Instructor Licence Number.
