Permits Directory Search

How to Search
There are several ways to find what you want in the Directory.
- Subject Index - You can find information
in an A-Z index.
Example: For information on getting a Driver's Licence, look under
D in the index.
Site Map - You can find information on a
list of permits and licences administered by each department, agency
or municipality we have in the directory.
Example: For a list of the licences and permits, in the Directory,
for the Department of Transportation and Public Works, select that
Department from the list.
- Keyword Search -
- Search the Whole Directory - You can find information
by performing a keyword search on the entire directory. Just click
on "Search the Directory" on the left menu bar. It takes
you directly to this page.
Example: For information on getting a Nova Scotia Fishing Licence,
just type in the word "fishing".
- Search Each Department, Agency or Municipality - You can
find information by performing a keyword search within a department,
agency or municipality. Just use the search box located on the
index page (not the one on the page header) for that specific
department, agency or municipality. For a list, click
here.
Example: For information on Building Permits, in the Cape Breton
Regional Municipality go to the CBRM index page, and enter the keywords
"building permit". To try it, click
