Court Services is dedicated to service excellence in the provision of the administration of justice.
Civil Procedure Rules Reform Project

The Court Services Division provides administrative and operational support to the:

• Nova Scotia Court of Appeal
• Supreme Court of Nova Scotia (General and Family Division)
• Provincial Court
• Family Court
• Small Claims Court
• Probate Court and
• Bankruptcy Court

In addition, the division is responsible for:

• management of court offices and registries including probate and bankruptcy
• administration of the Criminal Code Review Board
• court security and transportation of prisoners
• administration of the Justice of the Peace program
• management of the Restorative Justice program
• management of the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP)
• management of the following programs designed to reduce conflict and litigation in the family law matters:
